“Three interconnected stories that remained silent for over half a century: the femicide of my grandmother Carmen in Mexico at the age of 21, the execution of my great-grandfather Gabriel for being a double spy during the Spanish Civil War, and the disappearance of my great-great-grandparents in Stalinist Belarus.”
After nearly a century of silence, genealogy speaks for the first time. Through a voiceover composed of interviews with over twenty family members across three continents, overlapping and often contradictory testimonies emerge. With each conversation, radically different versions of the past unfold—so different, in fact, that they cast doubt on whether a single truth ever existed.
